We’re playing games for good in Lexington, Kentucky!
Back in 2013 a friend asked if anyone wanted to play games for 24 hours at his office to raise money for Kentucky Children’s Hospital.
Four of us showed up.
We played games all night.
And we raised $470, which absolutely crushed our expectations.
Over the next few years, we decided to continue this tradition. Every year around 5AM things would start to devolve, and we’d all get on the floor to crowd around a multiplayer game.
In this tradition, we found our former team name: the Lexington Floor Gamers.
Our annual gaming marathon continues to grow each year. In 2017, we broke the $1000 total donation mark. In 2018, Base110 graciously offered us use of their space for our 24-hour event, and we began expanding even more.
In 2020, we held our marathon virtually and raised over $8,000 despite not being in the same physical space.
In 2021, we renamed ourselves Lexington Games For Good to better reflect our mission: Playing Games, Helping Kids.
In 2022, we raised over $36,000 through a year-long campaign, including Extra Life United, Tabletop Appreciation Weekend, and of course Extra Life Gameday.
To date we have raised over $73,000 for Children’s Miracle Hospitals, and we are ready to take the next step to raise even more to help Kentucky’s sick kids! Going forward, our goal is to be the top earning team in the state, and we need your help.

What is Extra Life?
Extra Life is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program that empowers the gaming community to make a difference in the lives of local kids. Participants fundraise year-round including a 24-hour gaming marathon, an annual gaming tournament in early spring, and a weekend of tabletop gaming.
Our 170 member hospitals across North America rely on donations to provide the best care for kids. Since 2008, we have raised over $87 million and it has gone towards things like funding critical treatments, research and equipment, as well as helping families who cannot afford care.
Extra Life was founded in 2008 to remember the life of Victoria Enmon. As she spent years battling leukemia, video games provided her with a welcome escape.
Every year more than 50,000 people game in support of the millions of children that will benefit from Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
